Bucks Open Studios 2010 – 12th to 27th June
It’s our biggest year ever ! This year there are 260 directory entries in 179 different venues across the County, with over 490 artists and makers taking part. Richard Keith Wolff has been based both in Los Angeles and London, his photography has been published internationally and is highly collectable.

Art and Craft Market 10-4pm The Memorial Hall, Wharf Road, Wendover HP22 6NX - A showcase for thirty local artists and makers who include twelve Bucks Open Studio participants including: Laura Boswell lino and wood cut printmaker, Mick Randall who specialises in wood items including gorgeous Shaker boxes, Rachel Wright textile artist, Jeremy White Ceramics, Ros Long handmade books and contemporary bindings, Amanda Wheaton who re-uses copper and other metals to make both functional and sculptural items and Ray Priem - who makes beautiful bespoke glassware. Painters taking part are Sara Brown, Andrew Rance and Barbara Pearman. There will be three jewellery makers showing their diverse range of work using silver, pearls and semi precious stones and glass. A wonderful range of work to see, everyone is sure to find something to buy, for themselves or as a special present. Be sure to take your cheque book as not all sellers will accept credit cards. £1 entrance - profits will be donated to Thames Valley and Chiltern Air Ambulance. Refreshment available including very yummy cakes!

Chilterns Silk Painters The Chilterns branch of The Guild of Silk Painters has members based in Bucks, Herts, Berks and Beds. We meet on the second Thursday of each month in the studio of Rainbow Silks, at Wheelers Yard, High Street, Gt Missenden. Meetings are scheduled for 7pm to start at 7.30 pm. We have demonstrations of various techniques in silk painting, and related disciplines such as embroidery and batik, as well as practical sessions.
